Yemen is a country in the western
asia and it is beside Oman. Its is said
that yemen is among the countries
with the slowest internet speeds
globally. According to recent reports,
the average internet speed in yemen
is 1.6Mbps(Megabits per second).
This speed is significally lower
compared to the global average of
54.3Mbps. The slow internet speed in
Yemen has hindered the country's
progress in various sectors including
education, communication
healthcare, business, and economic
development.
The reason why Yemen internet is
slow is because of the lack of
infrastructure.
- One primary factor could be
insufficient telecommunication
infrastructure, which may not have
kept pace with the increasing
demand for internet service.
- Political instability and conflict in
the country could have also
contributed to limited investment in
improving internet infastructure.
Efforts are being made to improve
internet speed in Yemen. International
organizations and local
telecommunication companies are
working together to repair damaged
infrastructure and expand network
coverage. However, progress is slow
due to the ongoing conflict and limited
resources.
