Welcome to Physics

Physics
Physics is one of the Branch of natural science
along with Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Physics is the science that studies the fundamental concepts of matter, energy
and space and how they are related.
Why do we need Math?
• “Mathematics is the language of the universe”. Mathematics is very useful for
us, because let us calculate, mesuare, and make some predictions to different
physical phenomenon.
Mechanics, study the position (statics) and motion (dynamics) on the
space.
Statics, is the study of physics applying to a bodies at rest.

Dynamics, it’s about the description of motion and the reason of it.
Branches of Physics
• Mechanics: is the Branch of physics that study the motion on the
space or the effects of different force over them.
• Thermodynamics: Branch of physics that focus on the study of
phenomenon that are related to temperature, their variations,
generation and transmission of heat energy.
• Optics: Study the behaviour and properties of light.
• Acoustic: Study the sound, its measure, properties and effects over
the bodies.
• Electromagnetism: study electricity and magnetism, due to both
phenomena are related.
• Fluid Mechanics: study the behaviour and properties of fluids, like
liquids and gases.
• Quantum Mechanics: study the behaviour, properties and interactions
of atoms and subatomic particles.
• Nuclear Physics: Study the behaviour, properties of atomic nucleus.
• Astrophysics: study celestial bodies, since properties analysis and
behaviour.
• Biophysics: try to explaing the physical behaviour of organisms.

Is any substance that has mass and
takes up space by having volumen.
