Hydrogen Powder:

Redefining Last-Mile Hydrogen

Electriq Global Limited, April 2023

Reducing CO2 Emissions through Hydrogen
is Critical to Reach Net Zero Emissions
Hydrogen is key to reaching net zero emissions While Hydrogen backbone infrastructure will be
because it can abate 80 gigatons of CO2 by 20501 based on pipelines and large capacity point to point
solutions, last-mile distribution remains unsolved

* - KBH4 currently available on the market

** - CO2 footprint arises from the makeup of commodity chemicals used in KBH 4 production process.
Green processes for production of commodity chemicals will reduce the KBH 4 Carbon Index to a nearly zero value

• Green KBH4 has CI which depends on CI of commodity chemicals used in its production process and is:
• 3 times lower than diesel fuel while all commodity chemicals are produced using non-green processes
• Approaching zero while all commodity chemicals are produced using green processes
• Annual generation of 10 GWh using green KBH 4 will save more than 6,100 ton CO2/year compared to diesel in a worst case scenario
