Kalinga is a landlocked province in
the northernmost section of the
Cordillera Region. It is bounded by
the provinces of Cagayan and Apayao
in Kalinga the north, Mt. Province in
the south, and Abra in the West. The
greater sections of Cagayan and
Isabela are found on its eastern part.
 Kalinga
province has a indigenous society that has
been called KALINGA PEOPLE/TRIBE.

 The Kalinga people (IPA: [kaliŋɡa]) are an indigenous

ethnic group whose ancestral domain is in the
Cordillera Mountain Range of the northern
Philippines.
The typical Kalinga clothing for men is called the 'bahag'
(loincloths) while women usually wear the 'kain' or a colorful
garment that covers from the waist down which is like the 'tapis'
from different parts of the Philippines.
Kalinga tribe dance
 The Salidsid is the Kalinga courtship dance, performed by a male and
female (and thus is sometimes called the "cayoo" dance). The dance
starts when each of the dancers are given a pice of cloth called ayob or
allap.
Kalinga (IPA: [kaliŋɡa]) is a dialect continuum of
Kalinga Province in the Philippines, spoken by the
Kalinga people, alongside Ilocano. The Banao
Itneg variety is not one of the neighboring Itneg
languages.

The Kalingas speak six dialects - Guinaang,

Lubuangan, Pinukpuk, Tabuk, Tinglayan and
Tanudan.
The Kalinga speak mutually intelligible dialects of the
same Austronesian language; Kalinga is more closely
related to Tinggian, Isneg, Gaddang, Ibanag, and Ilocano
than to Bontok, Kankanai, and Ifugao. The dialects may
currently be converging under the influence of a
phonetically simplified, heavily Ilocano-influenced form
of Kalinga. In fact, Ilocano is so widely understood that it
is used to record the terms of peace-pacts between
Kalinga groups (instead of or along with English, a
language in which a few people in the larger communities
are literate).
The Kalinga script or Southern
Nagari is a Brahmic script used in
the region of what is now modern-
day Odisha, India and was primarily
used to write Odia language in the
inscriptions of the kingdom of
Kalinga which was under the reign
of early Eastern Ganga dynasty.
