JURY ASSIGNMENT

KNITTED AND WOVEN GARMET

ANALYSIS
INTRODUCTION :
 Every garment manufacturing brand always follows a particular
production methodology for its every product.
 The requirement of every brand are given through a garment
specification sheet to the manufacturing industry which contains all
the details about the garment like garment description,
measurements, operation breakdown and bill of materials .
 We have analysed a knitted garment and a woven garment. In
knitted we have analysed a Faballey Ladies Kurta and in woven
we have analysed a Newport Men’s Denim.
 We have included all the pre production and post production
processes, measurement chart, back and front view of the
garment, Bill of materials and operation breakdown.

PROCESS FLOW CHART :

 The garment manufacturing industry follows various different

steps for the production of a garment. This steps are classified
into pre-production and post-production.
 A complete garment has to face several processes from its order
receiving to shipment. During garments manufacturing, a process
flow chart must be needed to complete an order easily. Also a
process flow chart helps to understand a garment manufacturing
method that how the raw materials are converted into the
wearable garments.
 Process flow chart gives a very easy description about the various
processes involved in the manufacturing of a garment. Mostly
process are same for every garment, in some cases its just varies.

CONCLUSION :

 We have analysed a woven garment and a knitted garment in

the assignment.
 We discussed about the various process involved in the
manufacturing of a woven garment and a knitted garment and
we analysed that knitted garment requires less operation to get
manufactured.
 Various machineries and different types of seam involved in a
manufacturing process.
 We also discussed about the bills of material.
