Preparation of the Material
• Prepare more material than required
– Brainstorming
• Structure the collected material
– Differentiate between objective of making presentation ad the assignment
– Objective: deliver in such a manner that points are clear and comprehensible
by the audience
– Assignment: make presentation in a convincing manner
• Should the material be memorized?
– NO!!!!!!!
– Increase pressure of forgetting
– Memorize thoughts and ideas to be conveyed
– Make objective clear in mind of audience clear at the beginning.
– Preparation for the presentation is just like tip pof the ice berg . (10%
presentation, 90% hardwork)
Exercise Self Control
• Be calm, pause and relax
• Don’t pace, fidget, unnecessary body
movements.
• To portray yourself as confident and positive
following points may help:
– Maintain eye contact
– Keep feet firmly planted on the ground
– Keep your shoulders back and straight.

• Identify their needs and requirements
• Use familiar language
• Quotes, anecdotes and examples help
• Demographics of audience
• Use visual aids to grab attention
• Vary pitch, volume of your voice
• Emphasize on right points
• Pause at correct junctures
