What is its origin?
Origins of Halloween
The ancient Celtic peoples held a festival to say goodbye to the year on
31 October, in autumn, whose main characteristic if the falling of the
leaves. For them this meant the end of death or the commencement of a
new life. This teaching was passed down over the years from generation
to generation
The custom was to leave food and sweets outside their houses by way of
an offering. On the other hand, it was common to light candles to help
the souls of the dead to find the path to light and rest

 Trick or treat?
Trick or treat is the main game, the
most traditional of the night of
Halloween amongst children. This
American custom is based on the fact
that children go to the houses asking for
sweets and candies in exchange for
not playing a trick
Why pumpkins?
These vegetables were placed
in the windows of houses to,
according to the beliefs, ward
off the devil
 Preparing the decorations
The houses are decorated with real
pumpkins, ghost inflatables, webs,
lights that inspire fear, huge
cemeteries, ghosts and even special
effects to lend them more realism
 Fun costumes
The tradition was started by the Celts to ward off
ghosts and evil spirits. This started to become a
custom and it spread to different countries where
people started to dress up inspired by certain famous
characters
