6G INTERNET OF THINGS

A Comprehensive Survey

20P61A1277
P.VIGNATHA
Abstract :
The sixth generation (6G) wireless communication networks are envisioned to
revolutionize customer services and applications via the Internet of Things (IoT)
towards a future of fully intelligent and autonomous systems. We explore the
emerging opportunities brought by 6G technologies in IoT networks and
applications, by conducting a holistic survey on the convergence of 6G and IoT.
Particularly, compared to the other related survey papers, we provide an in-depth
discussion of the roles of 6G in a wide range of prospective IoT applications via
five key domains, namely Healthcare Internet of Things, Vehicular Internet of
Things and Autonomous Driving, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, Satellite Internet of
Things, and Industrial Internet of Things.
IOT(Internet Of Things):
The Internet of Things (IoT) describes the network of physical objects—“things”—
that are embedded with sensors, software, and other technologies for the purpose of
connecting and exchanging data with other devices and systems over the internet.
These devices range from ordinary household objects to sophisticated industrial
tools. Over the past few years, IoT has become one of the most important
technologies of the 21st century. Now that we can connect everyday objects like
kitchen appliances, cars, thermostats, baby monitors to the internet via embedded
devices, seamless communication is possible between people, processes, and things.
Fundamental 6G Technologies for IOT:
Vision Of 6G Technologies:
Conclusion:
6G has recently sparked much interest in both industry and academia
due to its appealing features compared to previous generations of
wireless networks. In this article, we have explored the opportunities
brought by the 6G technologies to support IoT networks through a
holistic survey based on the emerging study activities in the field. This
work is motivated by the lack of a comprehensive survey on the use of
6G for IoT. To bridge this gap, we have first introduced the recent
advances in FL and IoT and discussed the key requirements of 6G-IoT
integration.
Metaverse : Security And Privacy Issues
Abstract:
The metaverse promises a host of bright opportunities for business, economics, and
society. Though, a number of critical aspects are still to be considered and the
analysis of their impact is almost non-existent. Throughout the paper, we also
discuss possible research directions. We believe that the provided holistic view on
the foundations, technology, and issues related to the metaverse with a focus on
security and privacy, other than being an interesting contribution on its own, could
also pave the way for a few multidisciplinary research avenues .
Metaverse:
The metaverse is a vision of what many in the computer industry
believe is the next iteration of the internet: a single, shared, immersive,
persistent, 3D virtual space where humans experience life in ways they
could not in the physical world. The metaverse is a network of shared,
immersive virtual worlds where people can connect with friends, create
and play games, work and shop.
One of the major vulnerabilities is the lack of standardized security
protocols or mechanisms in place across the platforms. As a result,
cybercriminals can use the metaverse for a variety of purposes such as
identity theft, fraud, or malicious attacks on other users.
