Objective & Scopes :

• The quality of the end product of any process depends on how each and
every operation of whole process is executed. The main purpose of the QA
programme is to ensure that all the activities are carried out in a systematic
and planned manner in accordance with procedure specifications and
drawings. A well-documented QA program shall be established for all the
activities carried out by S&W at Ritz Carlton, Bangalore.
• The Site specific Detail QA Plan shall be submitted and the approval shall
be obtained for all activities of S&W Package:
It will address the following Activities:
- Project Quality Objectives
- Detail Responsibility & Authorities for quality function at site
- Quality review of Designing of Shop drawings for Electrical &
mechanical System under Package
- Quality requirements for Procurement of critical material
- Quality Inspection during Receipt of material
- Requirement for Storage and Preservation.
- Procedure of Quality Installation.
- Procedure for Changes & Modification
- Testing and Commissioning activities.

Responsibility for Quality Assurance at Site :

• Project Manager heading the Sterling & Wilson site office who is reporting to
VP - South at Regional office has the overall responsibility of establishing and
implementing the QA programme for all the activities carried out by S&W and
ensuring compliance to the QA requirements as mentioned in the QA manual.
• The Specific responsibilities of different functional teams are applicable as
described below :
The QA group is responsible :
For ensuring that all the site activities are carried out by S&W in a systematic and
planned manner in accordance with standard approved procedures, specifications,
QAP, FCN's and working documents.
1. To inspect and clear the inward materials and maintain their records.
2. To associate with vendor Evaluation
3. To maintain non-conformity, internal & external Audit records.
4. To ensure all tools & equipments in use are duly calibrated & maintained.
5. To stop the activity in case of non-compliance of specified requirements and
6. To ensure all the testing & commissioning activities carried out as per ITP.
7. To en sure that only qualified & skilled people are engaged for job execution.
8 .To conduct quality inspection & review.
9 .To ensure project quality requirements.

Planning Team is responsible for :

1. Based on key dates project schedule programme to be pre pared.


2. Preparation of micro level schedule.
3 Communication to all departments about the key dates to be followed.
4. Material, Manpower & Machineries -Resource estimation.
5. To overall monitoring & tracking of the progress.
6. To ensure the availability of materials, working documents, tools and
tackles.
7. To prepare monthly schedule based on overall erection activities.
8. To generate necessary information regarding resources utilization.
9. To prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports.
10.Periodic co-ordination within the organization and client
11.Progress of work, to plan further activities and to resolve outstanding
problems.

The Execution team at site is responsible :

• To ensure all the erection activities o f package are planned & executed
as per planed schedule, drawings ,FQ P and maintaining day to day basis
documentation with updating erection checklist.
• To ensure all the audit observation to be closed within the time frame

of the project
