A phrase is a group of words that stand together as a single grammatical unit, typically as
part of a clause or a sentence. A phrase does not contain a subject and verb, and
consequently, cannot convey a complete thought.

Phrase terdiri dari modifier yang memiliki fungsi untuk menjelaskan dan head yang
berfungsi untuk dijelaskan. Modifier dibagi menjadi pre modifier dan post modifier,
contohnya :
• Pre modifier : Modifier yang terletak sebelum head,
contohnya : Beautiful city. Head dari contoh itu adalah city.
• Post modifier : Modifier yang terletak setelah head, contohnya : Work hard. Head dari
contoh itu adaah work.
