Introduction
• Montana´s slogan is “Aurum et argentum” which means Gold and Silver in Latin
• This state has the shortest river in the world, called "Roe River"
• One of it's nicknames is "The treasure state".
• Did you know that Montana is a green state?. It offers almost 28 Million acres as public land.
They grow a variety of food, vegetables, and trees. Consequently, it creates a beautiful nature
with green looks.
Location and Population
• Montana is located in the north of the USA, above Idaho and Wyoming and at North Dacota´s left
• Montana has a population of about 1 million inhabitants and it´s the 44th state with the most
population, so it doesn´t have a lot of inhabitants compared to the others states.
Major Cities
Helena is the capital of Montana and it has a population of about 33 thousand inhabitants. The
Montana State Capitol was built there in 1902, a very famous building in the state.Is located
between Yellowstone National Park in the South of Montana and Flathead National Forest in
the North.

Bozeman has got 53 thousand inhabitants. It is the fourth biggest city in Montana and it has
some famous places like Montana Arboretum and Gardens and the Museum of the
Rockies. The city is named after John M. Bozeman who established the Bozeman Trail and was
a key founder of the town in August 1864.
Major Cities
Billings has got 117 thousand inhabitants, It is the county seat of Yellowstone County. Its is
also known as “Magic City” and is the largest city of the state with a lot of impressive
buildings. It's the largest city in the state, located in the south-central portion of the state, it is
the seat of Yellowstone County and the principal city of the Billings Metropolitan Area.

Missoula has got 75 thousand inhabitants. It is located along


Clark River Fork. Missoula is the second largest city and metropolitan
area in Montana.
Climate
It is characterized by cold and long winters with negative temperatures
and cool and short summers. It has a thermal oscillation of 10.5ºC.
Rainfall is very low

She was born on the 9th september 1980 and she is a famous actress that was nominated to the
Oscar as the best Supporting caracter. She was born in the city of Kalispell and she acted in
the movie The Greatest Showman.

He was born on the 1st of March in 1945. He was born in Helena and he was also an
actor. He participated in the movie “Alaska”
State Quarter
The phrase at the bottom of

means "Out of many, one".
