    What is Islam about?
    • Islam is an Arabic word that denotes submission, surrender, and
    obedience. As a religion, Islam stands for complete submission and
    obedience to Allah.
    • Islam is a religion extended by Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) who is
    the last prophet as well as a faithful person.
    Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H)
    • Muhammad (P.B.U.H) was an Arab religious, social, and political
    leader and the founder of Islam. According to Islamic doctrine, he
    was a prophet divinely inspired to preach and confirm the
    monotheistic teachings of Adam, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and other
    prophets.
    • BORN:MAKKAH (SAUDIA ARABIA)
    • BECAME PROPHET: 610 CE AT AGE OF 40
    EFFORTS OF MUHAMMAD (P.B.U.H)
    • His primary campaign was against his own tribe in Makkah, the
    Quraysh. Muhammad proclaimed prophethood around 610 and
    later migrated to Medina after being persecuted by the Quraysh in
    622. After several battles against the Quraysh, Muhammad conquered
    Mecca in 629, ending his campaign against the tribe.
    • He showed great patience in his life.
    • “Seek help with patience and prayer – though this is hard indeed for
    anyone but the humble” (Quran, 2:45)
