What is Islamophobia?
It is where both Islam and Muslims are portrayed as: Separate and 'other. Being inferior to the West (barbaric, irrational, primitive and sexist). Causes of the 'clash of civilisations'. Islam is seen as a political ideology and this is used for political and military advantage. Justifying discriminatory practices by animalising Muslims. Anti-Muslim hostility is seen as natural or normal.

The Psychological Drip

Over many years (5, 10, 15 years etc), anti Muslim ideas, fed by the media into minds of the general public. They will gradually learn to hate the Muslims, unaware of what they have been fed.

The Emergence of Fascist Groups

The consequence of planting seeds of hatred are that fascist organisations form to counter what they believe is a growing threat. They have a big influence in both the social and media sectors. Notice on the next slide, how very few people get their information about Islam from Muslims.
