The Taliban is a Muslim terrorist organization.


It is a militant group. Their members have
extreme views on how people should live.
The Taliban doesn't believe that women or
girls are equal to men. In facts they don't
believe women should get an education of
any kind.

In 2008s Ziauddin Yousafzai had taken


his daughter to Peshawar to speak at a
local press club about girls' right to basic
education. The event was covered by
newspapers and television channels through
the region.
REAL LIFE SITUATION

Soon afterwardss she began anonymously


blogging for BBC Urdu about what it was
like to live under harsh Taliban rule. These
entries depicted life from a schoolgirl's
perspective during the time whilst the
Taliban passed formal edicts prohibiting
girls from attending school.

On October 9 2012. She was returning


home from school when hooded Taliban
militants stopped and boarded the school
bus. They were askings "Who is Malala?"
After being identifieds she was shot in
the head. Although a bullet traversed her
brain and lodged in her spines she survived
the shooting but was critically injured.

A Taliban spokesman confirmed that


Yousafzai was the specific target of the
shooting and added that she was a symbol
of "infidels and obscenity." and "She has
become a symbol of Western culture in
the areas she was openly propagating its"
adding that if she surviveds the militants
would try to kill her again.

About six months laters Malala was wel


enough to return to school. But her story
went viral. People all over the world were
amazed by the little girl who stood up to
the Taliban. Malala began to travel all over
the world to meet world leaderss people in
the medias and girls fighting for their own
educations.

Malala became famous for her work in


promoting and supporting girls in getting
fighting for the right to get an education.
People all over the world noticed the big
impact that one little girl could make In
2014s when Malala was 17s she was awarded
the Nobel Peace Prize and she was the
youngest person ever to receive this award.

Malala didn't stop there. She continues to


fight for children's rights and girls'
rights. She founded the Malala Funds an
organization that advocates for girls'
education worldwide.

Malala traveled around the world listening


to girls' struggles and advising them on how
to stand up for their rights—she called
this the Girl Power Trip. She even opened a
school for girls in Lebanon. In 2016s she
launched a campaign to encourage people
around the world to support education for
girls. It's called #YesAllGirls.
