Question Sentence (Day 3)
Definiton :
Informative questions adalah kalimat tanya yang diajukan untuk mendapatkan informasi
berupa waktu, orang, tempat, kuantitas, kualitas, alasan dll, dan selalu di akhiri dengan tanda
tanya (question mark).
Function :
Informative questions terdiri dari 5W+1H yang masing-masing digunakan untuk menanyakan
informasi tertentu. e.g : Where digunakan untuk menanyakan tempat, When digunakan untuk
menanyakan waktu, dll.
Kinds of Informative Questions
• Who menanyakan Subject (person).
• Whom menanyakan Object (person).
• What menanyakan S/O (non person) dan Verb.
• When menanyakan keterangan waktu.
• Where menanyakan keterangan tempat.
• Which menanyakan pilihan.
• Whose menanyakan kepemilikan.
• Why menanyakan alasan.
• How menanyakan keterangan cara.
• How many menanyakan jumlah (yang bisa dihitung).
• How much menanyakan jumlah (yang tidak bisa dihitung).
Menanyakan Subject (Who/What)
QW + Verb Singular + …….. + ?
Examples ( Who)
Simple Present: Vs/es • e.g: They drink a cup of coffee.
Present Continuous: is + Ving
• They= Who drinks a cup of coffee?
Present Perfect: has + V3
Simple Past: V2 • She is making some cakes.
Simple Future: will + V1 • She= Who is making some cakes?
• She cut her hair.
• She= Who cut her hair?
Pr Pf Cont : has + been + Ving • We have been taking English class for 3
Past Cont : was + Ving weeks.
Future Cont: will be + Ving
• We= Who has been taking English class
for 3 weeks?

• Stealing = What are stealing the thieves in my house now?

• Silenty = How the thieves are stealing in my house?
• In my house = Where the thieves are stealing now?
