INTRODUCTION:

Wearable devices are a new form of mobile

computer system that is subsumed into the
personal space of a user, controlled by the user,
and has both operational and interactional
constancy, i.e., is always on and accessible that
provides exclusive and user-personalized services

3
POWER SUPPLY:

Requirement of desired power will be delivered to

the devices by employing batteries.
Desired power depends upon the device employed
for the application.
Example:
.Texas Instruments (TI) has a device, the bq25570 ,
which can take the 300 to 400 mv that is collected by
energy harvesters and boosts up to an power of 3 to
5 volts.
4
SENSOR:

Sensors are sophisticated devices that are

frequently used to detect and respond to physical
parameter (for example: temperature, blood
pressure, humidity, speed, etc.) into a signal which
can be measured electrically.
Types:
Tactile sensors
Gas sensors
Bio sensors

5
ADC:

The electrical output of the sensor which is of

analog nature i.e; analog signal is converted to digital
signal through ADC.

TYPES:
Flash
Pipelined
Successive-Approximations Register (SAR)
Integrating or Dual-slope

6
PROCESSOR:

A processor is the logic circuitry that responds

and processes the basic instructions that are feded
from the sensor.
The term processor has generally replaced the
term Central Processing Unit. The processor in a
personal computer or embedded in small devices is
often called a microprocessor, microcontroller or
other processors based on the specific application.

7
TRANSMITTER:

Transmitter is an electronic device which, with

the aid of an antenna, produces waves.

The transmitter itself generates a wave

frequency alternating current, which is applied to
the antenna. When excited by this alternating
current, the antenna radiates waves which posses
communicating nature and are transmitted to the
receiver.

ACTIVITY MONITOR:
Sensor: Accelerometer
Senses each step, App converts
steps in to calories burned.
Tracks quality of sleep.
TRICODER: Fit Bit
Sensor: Temperature
Heart Rate Sensing
ECG
Heart Rate Velocity
Blood Pressure
Blood Oxygen Levels scanadu

10
SMART WATCHES:
Indicates temperature

provides streaks

keeps track of delivery

status and displays.

keeps tracks of the day

to day activities of news,
top stories.

11
Displays personal
activities which are to
be taken care
.provides googled
information.
provides information
regarding on going
activities of what to be
happen in our
location.
keeps tracks of
travelling and views
the status whenever
we required,. 12
DIGITAL PARENTING:
The system captures the
sound in the baby's room so
parents can listen in on their
phone or tablet like any
standard monitor. It's a bold
move, but works with the
2-way communication functionality and the
nightlight / lullaby music modes.
It records and streams in HD and the infrared vision
wide lens makes it a great option for bed time. For
extra security, the Home camera also monitors air
quality.
13
SMART CLOTHES TO SMART OBJECTS:
Smart clothes keeps
tracks of the fitness level
by providing information
regarding the burned
calories of the user.

Smart clothes are able

to regulate the
temperature change of
the body by continuous
monitoring.
14
IN INDUSTRY AND MILITARY:

The critical operations of the

industrial which are impossible
are achieved progress due to
the ease use of wearable
devices.
Wearable technology
provides the healthy
conditions to the workers in
un-hygienic conditions.

15
The wearable computer will offer
situational awareness to the infantry
soldier that will help separate friend
from foe(enemies).
Wearable computers will help
soldiers to use digitally distributed
orders, map, and intelligence, each
soldier to communicate and to
exchange video of what they see
seamlessly with his comrades within a
networked unit.
plays major role in exercise to
retrieve hostages by passing
information about the location. 16
WEARABLE SKIN TATTOOS:
wearable tattoo — essentially, a
wearable skin which is an “thin,
flexible devices that can stretch,
bend and twist seamlessly with our
bodies and posses capabilities of
store data and deliver drugs .”

 A skin-like polymer material was

layered with stretchable, motion and temperature
sensors, resistive RAM, micro heaters and drugs to
be delivered through skin.
17
The patch is about four
centimeters long, two centimeters
wide and 0.003 millimeters thick.
One possible use case is on-the-spot
delivery of medicine in response to
muscle movement, such as for
epilepsy or Parkinson’s disease.
In Motorola’s vision, the skin tattoo can talk to
larger devices like smart phones or Google Glass
through Bluetooth, and, at least in the application,
includes a mike and a power source it can function
as a lie detector, measuring galvanic skin response.
18
AS Wearable Technology
develops marketing will use
consumer’s personal biometric to
sell products and services.

19
ADVANTAGES:
1.It posses computing abilities as mobile
phones and tablet computers such as
calculation, navigation and remote picture.
2.Small in size.
3.portability.
4.Provides Clouding facility.
5.Multi Tasking.
6.Very Attentive.
DISADVANTAGES:
1.Expensive.
2.Discomfort
3.Security Issues i.e; hacking problems.
