surroundings. Factual reports are often based on natural or social phenomenon.

A text that describe the way things are, with
reference to a range of natural, man-made,
and social phenomena in our environment is
called a factual report. A report provides
information by stating facts. It also often
describes a class of things. Its purpose is to
present information about something as it is.
