• Compact I/O to DSI / Modbus Module
• Connectivity for three RA control platforms MicroLogix 1500 system

• Provides (3) DSI / Modbus channels with the


following modes:
• Single mode (1 drive / channel)
• DSI-based (PowerFlex 4-Class drives) CompactLogix system

• Multi-Drive mode (up to 5 drives / channel)


• DSI-based (PowerFlex 4-Class drives)
• Modbus RTU Master
• Provides connectivity to Modbus RTU Slave Remote 1769-based node
devices
• Includes PowerFlex 7-Class drives using 20-
COMM-H adapters

• DSI (Single or Multi-Drive) throughput is up to 3x faster than
Modbus RTU
• The entire I/O image (Logic Command / Reference and Logic Status /
Feedback) for a PowerFlex 4-Class drive is updated in ONE DSI message
request / response transaction
• Modbus requires THREE request / response RTU messages to update the
same I/O image for a PowerFlex 4-Class drive
• #1 - Function Code 06 Write message to write the Logic Command word
• #2 - Function Code 06 Write message to write the Reference word
• #3 - Function Code 03 Read message to read the Logic Status / Feedback
