AUTHENTICATION AT DFA AUTHENTICATING OFFICES
• NBI Clearance
Get 2. 1 for your employer and another one for the visa application.

• Bachelor’s or Highest Academic TOR and Diploma


Ask for or take the photocopies of your documents to your university. Then, inform them that you will be
needing the said documents for authentication by DFA, so they will provide an endorsement and/Certificate of
Authenticity (CAV). Private universities still need to forward the documents to CHED.

• Professional License and Certificate of Good Standing


Proceed to the nearest PRC office near you. Have them authenticate your license and certificate of good standing.

) for the 5 branches which provide authentication services, requirements, and payment. There may be
updates/changes. Do the same with/check out the Taiwanese Embassy’s website (Taipei Economic and
Cultural Office – TECO).
AUTHENTICATION FEES
DFA

As of the writing of this advisory, the authentication fee is as follows:


regular processing, PhP 100 per document, for releasing after four working days
expedite processing, PhP 200 per document, for releasing after one business day

TECO
Bring the original and a photocopy together with authentication application form (

Authentication fee : Php 800.00 (Expedited processing fee: Php 400.00).


Regular documents shall be issued or rejected by the 5th working day from receipt of the application.
Expedited processing time : 2 working days.
Filing Time( 送件 ) : Monday to Friday 8:45AM to 11:45 AM
Releasing Time( 發件 ) : Monday to Friday 1: 45PM to 4:45PM
RESIDENT VISA APPLICATION
Aside from the work permit in two copies, bring the original and a photocopy of the

• NBI clearance (at least 6 months prior to expiry)


• Two 1.5” x 2” photo
• Online Application for VISA
• PSA (formerly NSO) Birth Certificate
• TECO-accredited Health Certificate for Foreign Teachers (you can do this while
getting your docs authenticated. Bring 2x2 and 1x1 photos)
• Passport (at least 6 months prior to expiry)
• Payment (regular: P 3,500, expedite P1,750)

Expedite Processing : 2 Working Days

Bring the original and a photocopy of the following to the POEA Main Office or Regional Office:

Phase 1:

1. Work Permit/Visa
2. Passport
3. Verified Contract (which comes with an indorsement letter by POLO)
4. School Company Profile
5. Employer’s Business License and Passport/ID
6. PRC License
7. TOR/Diploma
8. Resume/CV
9. Certificate of Employment
10. Notarized Affidavit on how you secured your employment
11. Notarized affidavit on the authenticity of your documents such as: license, TOR/Diploma, COE, CV
POEA OEC
Phase 2: (3-7 days after, clearance for employer is posted on POEA website
https://eservices.poea.gov.ph/eRegistration/Register)

Again, prepare the original and a copy of the following:

1. Original Verified Contract


2. PDOS Certificate
3. Health Certificate (you can use the one you used for the visa application)
4. PEOS online (http://www.peos.poea.gov.ph/professionals/)
5. E-registration for OFW online (https://eservices.poea.gov.ph/eRegistration/Register)
6. Repatriation Insurance Certificate (You can opt for Paramount Insurance which can be availed
of/paid online)
7. Registration form for PDOS to be provided by POEA (Original only)

POEA will check your copies, you’ll be asked to wait for your name to be called out and fill in an Information Sheet for
OFW. When your name is called out, you’ll be given papers to be forwarded to the Cashier for the payment of around
Php 7,000.00 for Processing Fee, OWWA, Phil-health and Pag-ibig. Check with POEA for changes. Wait for the receipt.
POEA OEC

Your receipts serve as your OEC which will be in 3 copies. (1 for you, 1 for the airline for exemption on
travel tax and terminal fee, and 1 for the immigration check). When you travel, always bring the original
copies with you. In case your OEC number will not be recognized by the immigration system, you will
be asked to get validated by the POEA Validation Booth at the airport so you’ll get cleared.

One more thing: take good care of your passport. Don’t get it wet, torn, or unreadable.

Note: The entire process may take 1.5 to 2 months, depending on the work permit processing, contract
verification, and OEC processing.
