With the gift of understanding, we experience
a compassionate awareness of what others

The Gift of
COUNSEL
With the gift of counsel (some- times called “right
judgment”), we can make good decisions based on what
is right and wrong.
Because of the gift of counsel, Christians need not fear to
stand up for the truths of the Faith, because the Holy
Spirit will guide us in defending those truths.
 The Gift of PIETY
With the gift of piety, or reverence, we can worship God
more meaningfully

With the gift of fortitude, we experience the courage to
overcome our fears

Fortitude is the virtue of the martyrs that allows them to

suffer death rather than to renounce the Christian Faith .
The Gift of
FEAR OF THE LORD
With the gift of the fear of the Lord, the Holy Spirit enables
us to be in humble wonder of God’s creation and of our
relationship with him.

This gift of the Holy Spirit gives us the desire not to

offend God
