Butterfly Effect

1
Butterfly effect

In chaos theory, butterfly effect is a situation in

which an action or change that does not seem
important has a very large effect, especially in
other places or around the world

2
Chaos theory
Chaos theory explains the behavior of dynamic systems
like weather, which are extremely sensitive to initial
conditions.
For example, the double pendulum has a
deterministic behavior but unpredictable.
The sensitivity to the initial conditions causes
a divergence of the movements of the two
pendulums, practically identical
3
Butterfly effect

It is sometimes said that the

flapping of a butterfly's wings in
one part of the world can cause a
hurricane on the other side of
the globe

4
History
Edward Lorenz was re-running a
weather predicting machine in
1961 when he realized that even
a small inaccuracy in the
numbers he entered could have a
drastic effect on the weather

5
Moral
Everything we do is important, a butterfly flapping its
wings does not cause a tornado, or a hurricane, it's
just a metaphor, but can start a chain of events that
eventually does. So by this notion, it's important to
think of the consequences of our actions and how
anything we do, no matter how small, can have a big
effect on the rest of the world, for better or worse
