WHAT IS MIGRATION?
 Movement from one country, place or locality to another in search
of better opportunities to settle. When people move from one
place to another it is called migration.
 The place they move from is called the Place of Origin and the
place they move to is called the Place of Destination.
DATE- 1944
ESTIMATED MIGRANTS- 0.7 MILLION
The entire Chechen and Ingush peoples, about half-a-million
strong, were being deported to Central Asia as punishment for
what Moscow called their collaboration with Nazi Germany in
world war II. Many people got dead because they didn’t
migrated.
 For both male female migrants, poverty and unemployment are the
reason to leave home , and the hope of better economic prospect and
the main reason is as they got the punishment to leave Chechanya as
they helped Germany in world war II.
 In central Asia the people got much better opportunities and
less Poverty and they still need to migrate as the punishment.

 Because of wars and poverty in
1978, more than 500,000
Vietnamese tried to leave their
country in small, unseaworthy
boats.
 Some boats were so small they
carried a single family. Others
held hundreds of refugees.
 These Vietnamese migrants were
named “boat people” because of
their method of escape, they
faced many problems while
migrating.
 Low economic lack of opportunities poverty and wars going
on that makes people feel unsafe made people move there
small country.
 Better economic many opportunities and no war going on
that made them fell much safer made them move to the
rest of the world
