referred to as simply GT3, is
a set of regulations
maintained by the Fédération
Internationale de
l'Automobile (FIA) for grand
tourer racing carsdesigned
for use in various auto racing
series throughout the world.
Time attack

• Time attack is a type


of motorsport in which
the racers compete for the
best lap time. Each vehicle
is timed through
numerous circuits of the
track. The racers make a
preliminary circuit, then run
the timed laps, and then
finish with a cool-down lap.
Rally
• rally, also spelled rallye, automobile competition over a
specified public route with a driver and navigator attempting
to keep to a predetermined schedule between checkpoints.
The course is generally unknown to contestants until the start
of the rally
Drag racing
• drag racing, Form of motor racing in which two contestants race side by side from
a standing start over a straight quarter-mile strip of pavement. Winners go on to
compete against others in their class until only one is left undefeated.
Drift
• the act or activity of steering an automobile so that it makes a
controlled skid sideways through a turn with the front wheels
pointed in a direction opposite to that of the turn. Drifting
began in the early 1980s with a Japanese race-car driver
named Keiichi Tsuchiya.
Nascar
• NASCAR, in full National
Association for Stock Car Auto
Racing, sanctioning body for
stock-car racing in North America,
founded in 1948 in Daytona
Beach, Fla., and responsible for
making stock-car racing a widely
popular sport in the United States
by the turn of the 21st century.
