INTRODUCTION
Rural Agricultural Work Experience is a programme which aims
at providing an opportunity for the students to have practical
experience of rural life and promoting technology in agriculture
among farmers.

In India , Randhawa Committee (1992) recommended the Rural


Agricultural Work Experience (RAWE) Program.
OBJECTIVE
 To provide the farmers with various solutions of their
problems.
 To provide opportunity to the students for studying rural
situations and to improve practical skills.
 Development of communication skills.
 To understanding technologies adopted by farmers.
 To develop confidence and competence in students for solving
problems related to agriculture at farmers field.
UNIT 1: VILLAGE ATTACHMENT
 INTRODUCTION
Village attachment refers to temporary placement of trainee/learner to village
to learn practical aspects of village life and about farmer.

 OBJECTIVES
To know cropping pattern in village.
To know the social status , education status and health status of the village.
To collect information on average income and expenditure oh household.
To asses the kind of cultivation in agriculture fields.

• Maximum number of population is dependent on
farming as the main occupation.
• Maximum people at village are literate.
UNIT 2 : RESEARCH STATION
At the research station, we gain exposure to
innovative farming techniques, crop varieties,
and pest management strategies. This
experience fosters a deeper understanding of
sustainable agricultural practices and the
importance of research in rural development.
UNIT 3 : PLANT CLINIC ATTACHMENT

Working in a plant clinic allows us to diagnose


and address crop diseases and pest infestations.
Through this attachment, individuals develop
expertise in plant pathology and contribute to
improving crop health in rural communities.
UNIT 4: AGRO INDUSTRIAL ATTACHMENT

The agro-industrial attachment provides insights


into the processing and value addition of
agricultural products. Understanding the supply
chain and market dynamics is essential for
promoting rural agribusiness and enhancing
income generation for farmers.
CONCLUSION
Exploring the dynamics of rural agriculture
through work experience, research station, plant
clinic attachment, and agro-industrial
attachment offers a holistic perspective on
sustainable farming. These experiences equip
individuals with the knowledge and skills to
contribute to the development of rural
communities and the advancement of
agricultural sustainability.
