INDUCTOR
inductor is a passive electronic component that is
typically used in electronic circuits to store energy in the
form of a magnetic field. An inductor consists of a wire
coil that is either wound on a magnetic core, usually
made of iron or other ferromagnetic materials.
WORK PRINCIPLE INDUCTOR
By generating a magnetic field, electricity is produced when an electric
current flows through a wire coil. This magnetic field stores energy
and can be used for various purposes in electronic circuits. When the
current changes or is interrupted, the magnetic field tries to maintain
its flow by producing a back electromotive force in the opposite
direction, which is known as Faraday's law.
INDUCTOR FUNCTION
 The main function of an inductor is to store electrical energy
in the form of a magnetic field and regulate the flow of current in a
circuit, for example:
• As a filter circuit
• Resonant circuit
• Transformer
• Power systems
EXAMPLE INDUCTOR

Air-core inductors, as the name suggests,

do not use a magnetic core. Instead, they
rely on an air gap to form a magnetic field.
Air-core inductors have several advantages,
including:

1. Accuracy and stability

2. High current handling capacity
3. Low interference
4. Suitable for high frequency
applications
