DEFINITION
sexual harassment
verb
1.defined as unwanted and unwelcome sexual verbal or
physical activity, particularly by a person in power toward a
subordinate.
2.it can be written, spoken, or physical, and it can take place
in person or online/via the internet.

OWING• Whistleblower : A worker who uncovers
wrongdoing, such as financial impropriety,
discrimination, or harassment.

• Law protects whistleblowers.

• Whistleblowers should not be treated unjustly


or lose employment for 'blowing the whistle’.
PUNISHMENT TO SEXUAL HARRASER
a) Dismissing employees without notice;

b) Degrading employees;

c) Carry out any other punishment deemed fit and reasonable


(where the sentence of suspension without pay imposed shall not
exceed a period of two weeks)

• An employer may be deemed to have committed an offense


and on conviction may be liable to a fine not exceeding RM
10,000 if:
• fails to investigate, complaint or inform a sexual
harassment act;
• state the refusal and the reasons otherwise or send a
report to the Director General;

• Section 509 of the Penal Code can also be referred to where the
punishment is imprisonment for up to 5 years or a fine or
both.
