 INTRODUCTION
1. 3 TRADITIONAL MALAY DANCES IS AT THE RISK OF LOST.
The traditional dances of the Malays (Zapin), the Chinese (Peking Opera -
Jingju) and the Indians (Karakatam) represent the precious cultural heritage of
each people, dating back centuries.

Since sensitivity to new things, university students have the irreplaceable

 4.0 METHOD OF THE STUDY

- Research method: Qualitative research

through questionnaire survey
- Participants: randomly choose 30 students
from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM)
 5.0 FINDINGS OF THE STUDY

56.7% of respondents agree that traditional dance helps society understand

various cultures.

Primary Challenge: 46.7% cite lack of awareness; 13.3%

recognize generational gap.

their engagement with cultural dance?
According to the Lykesas (2017),
