Proposal: Analyzing the Impact of providing instructor material (Ppt) on


trend of Reading Books in the Library for Cluster Students

Introduction

The goal of this study is to investigate the impact of PowerPoint on


motivating cluster students to read books in the library.
Cluster students refer to a group of students who have similar academic
interests, learning styles, or abilities.
Our aim is to develop a better understanding of how to encourage
students to make use of library resources and improve their reading habits.
Back Ground of The Study

 The use of technology in education has become increasingly prevalent in recent


years,

 With many schools and universities using digital resources to enhance learning.

 This increased reliance on technology may be leading to a decline in reading


books,
 However, there is also evidence to suggest that the use of instructor materials,
such as PowerPoint, can enhance the learning experience and improve academic
performance.
Problem Statement
• There has been a growing concern that the trend of reading books is declining
among students, particularly with the increased use of digital resources and Ppt.
• The increased use of instructor materials may lead to a further decline in reading
books,
• As students may become overly reliant on these materials and neglect the
traditional method of reading different reference books.
• The study will assess whether the provision of instructor materials has a positive or
negative impact on students' reading habits.
Objectives

General objective
The general objective of this study is to whether providing instructor material (Ppt)
affect the trend of Reading Books in the Library for Cluster Students.
Specific objectives
To prepare effective questionnaire and assess the habits of using library for the
indicated students.
Assess the current reading habits of cluster students in the library.
To compare the trend of using library before and after providing instructors
material.
Design and deliver engaging PowerPoint presentations to promote reading and
library usage among cluster students.
Provide recommendations for future initiatives to increase reading habits and
library usage among cluster students.
Research Questions

a) What is the impact of providing instructor material (Ppt) on the trend of reading
books in the library for cluster students?

b) What is the importance of reading books in library?

c) What type of materials they read when visiting the library?

d) What time have they spend reading in library?

e) Does the provision of instructor materials enhance or detract from the overall
learning experience?

f) What are the factors that influence students' use of instructor materials and reading
Literature Review

The provision of instructor powerpoint (ppt) materials has been A popular tool in
education for many years.
There is limited research on the impact of such materials on the trend of reading
books in the library, particularly for cluster students.
A study by adeleke and owoeye (2014) , found that the group that received the
powerpoint had a significantly higher mean score.
Muhammad asif jamil et al. (2018),study found that the group with access to
instructor ppt materials showed,
A significant increase in their reading habits compared to the group without access
to such materials.
Study by salma naseem et al. (2019), found that the group with access to instructor
ppt materials showed a significant improvement in their academic performance.

The literature suggests that the provision of instructor ppt materials can have A
positive impact on Students' reading habits and academic performance.
However, there is limited research on the impact of such materials specifically for
cluster campus students.
Therefore, the proposed study aims to address this gap in the literature by
examining the impact of,
Providing instructor ppt materials for the students on their reading habits in the
library.
Methodology

Materials and equipment’s used


•A4 paper, pen,
•Computer, printer or photocopy machine
Methods
The study will be conducted in a university setting, with a sample of students from
different departments (Textile, Garment and Fashion Design).
The data will be collected using both quantitative and qualitative methods.
A survey will be administered to students to collect data on their frequency of
library visits
before and after the implementation of providing instructor PPT material.
Sample size determination

Total Numbers Of Students In The Campus Is Around 350.


 From This Number Of Students, The study Will Be Done Slovin’s Formula In
Selecting Sample Size From The Total Populations And
Assuming The Confidence Interval As 95% As Follow.

Therefore, from total population of 350 (students, instructors and library


personnel) the sample size is 187.
