EARLY LIFE OF Dr. LILENTHAL • Birth : November 5, 1815 at Munich, Germany • Death : October 03, 1891 at United States • Family : Son of Jehuda Loew Lilienthal and Diana Lilienthal Husband of Caroline Lilenthal • Graduated from German High School in 1834 • Degree of Doctor of Medicine in 1838, and continued his studies in the clinics of the Municipal Hospital at Munich, until the fall of 1839 WAY TO HOMOEOPATHY • He witnessed the extraordinary success of homoeopathy through the efforts of a resident physician, his love of truth forced him to study new method of treatment • In 1850, he moved to Haverstraw, New York • Through the influence of the late Dr. Hering, he became the associate editor of the “North American Journal of Homoeopathy”, which he conducted alone from 1872 until 1885 • He was employed as a Professor of Mental and Nervous Diseases at the Homoeopathic College of New York and as a Professor of Clinical Medicine at New York College for Women CONTRIBUTIONS • Homoeopathic Therapeutics was published in 1878 • Proved several remedies including Carbolic acid, Silicum and Physostigma venenosum • Author of a work on skin diseases • Well known in the field of journalism THANK YOU
