INTRODUCTION:

Output devices are peripherals or components of a

computer system that are responsible for presenting or
displaying information generated by the computer. They
convert electronic data into a form that can be perceived by
humans.

3
MONITOR:

Monitors are one of the primary output devices used in computer

systems. They display visual information, including text, images, videos,
and graphical user interfaces (GUI). Some functions of monitor are as:
1. Displaying graphical user interfaces (GUI) of operating systems and
software applications.
2. Showing websites, documents, images, videos, and multimedia
content.
3. Playing computer games and watching movies.
4. Presenting slideshows, presentations, and visual content in
meetings or classrooms. 4
PRINTER:

Printers are output devices that produce hard copies of electronic documents
or images on paper or other printable materials. Function of printer are as:
1. Producing hard copies of documents, such as reports, letters,
spreadsheets, and presentations.
2. Printing photographs and images.
3. Creating physical copies of tickets, labels, and other small-format items.
4. Generating receipts, invoices, and other business-related documents.

5
SPEAKER:

Speakers are output devices that convert electrical signals into sound
waves, allowing us to hear audio generated by computers, audio devices,
or other multimedia sources. Speakers perform following functions as:
1. Playing system sounds, alerts, and notifications.
2. Outputting audio from videos, music, and multimedia content.
3. Providing sound effects in gaming and virtual reality experiences.
4. Facilitating communication through voice or video calls.
6
PROJECTOR:

Projectors are output devices that display images or video onto a screen or wall.
They work by projecting light onto a surface and can be used in various settings.
Important functions are as:
1. Displaying presentations, slideshows, and videos on a larger screen or
surface for a larger audience.
2. Setting up home theater systems for watching movies or streaming content.
3. Facilitating visual demonstrations and lectures in classrooms or business
presentations.

7
PLOTTER:

A plotter is a specialized output device that is used to produce large-scale,

high-quality prints of images or technical drawings. It works by using one
or more pens to draw precise lines on paper or other printable materials.
Functions are as:
1. Printing large-scale technical drawings, architectural plans, and
engineering diagrams.
2. Creating high-quality posters, banners, and signs.
3. Producing precise and detailed artwork, illustrations, and designs.
8
BRAILLE DISPLAY:

A Braille display, also known as a refreshable Braille display or Braille terminal,

is an output device used by individuals who are blind or visually impaired to
read digital text through tactile feedback. Performs following functions:
1. Converting electronic text into Braille format for visually impaired
individuals to read.
2. Assisting with reading and accessing digital content, including books,
documents, and web pages.
3. Providing accessibility and inclusivity for individuals with visual
impairments.
9
HAPTIC DEVICES:

Haptic devices, also known as haptics, are input or output devices that provide
tactile feedback or sensation to users. They allow users to interact with virtual or
digital environments by simulating touch sensations. Functions performed are as:
1. Enhancing virtual reality experiences by providing realistic tactile feedback.
2. Simulating touch sensations in gaming controllers for more immersive
gameplay.
3. Assisting individuals with limited or no vision by providing haptic cues and
navigation assistance.
