CONTEXT:

• Taylors motivation theory, established in 1911, was one of


the first motivational theories to emerge
• After observing manufacturing workers, he had considered
the fact that a worker's main motivation was money, and
that employees were carrying out tasks insufficiently and
not working to their full potential due to their pay systems
