Liver, Gallbladder,
Stomach, &
Pancreas in
Digesting
A Science Presentation of Group 2, of Grade 8
Section San Joaquin,
LIVER
The liver absorbs the
nutrients of the food
that are coming from
the small intestines. It
is said that this organ
stores vitamins and
mineral from what we
consume.
GALLBLADDER
The gallbladder’s purpose is
to store and concentrate bile(s)
from the liver. The bile passes
to the gallbladder which
concentrates and store TO
USE IT FOR LATER.
(The gallbladder is smaller than you think, it is located somewhere very near to the live
STOMACH
The stomach holds the food
that we consume or eat and
mixes it with our stomach acid
and enzymes for it to digest to
send it to the small intestines.
As it mixes with the acid and
enzymes, it will break the food
down into a liquid or paste.
PANCREAS
The pancreas makes pancreatic
juices called enzymes. It is said
that this organ breaks down fat,
sugars, and starches. This
produces enzymes and it helps
with the digestion by making
hormones.
TO SUM
EVERYTHING UP
The digestive system
goes through some
process with the organs in
our digestive system. We
learned the function and
purpose of each organ
and how it affects our
daily living.
