Switzerland Reflections

The Swiss pavilion ‘Reflections’ revolves around reflecting key aspects of

Switzerland’s culture, natural beauty and innovations, delivered through a series of
interactive elements and images; the country’s breathtaking landscapes serving as a
backdrop to Swiss solutions for a sustainable future, showcasing our technologies,
innovations and scientific achievements.

Switzerland the first nation to join the Expo Dubai

Switzerland was the first nation to confirm its participation in the next World Expo,
which takes place in Dubai. It will be the first world exhibition to be hosted by an
Arab and Muslim country. Over 190 countries have already signed up to take part in
the Expo, whose theme is 'Connecting Minds, Creating the Future'. Some 25 million
visits are expected, with 30% coming from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and
70% from abroad, thus making this the first event of its kind to attract more
international visitors than local attendees.
Saudi Arabia
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai offers an open invitation
to the world to come and explore the country through four core pillars: People,
Heritage, Nature, and Opportunity. Through this phased tour, visitors will be able
to take a closer look at the Kingdom and experience its renowned tradition of
hospitality, and learn about its authentic culture, rich heritage, natural diversity, and
promising investment opportunities. All of this and more will be available inside
the Saudi Pavilion, an outstanding architectural landmark embodying a bold
ambition to shape the world for the better.
The Saudi pavilion building was designed in cooperation with Boris
Micka Associates. The state-of-the-art Pavilion fuses architecture with
digital technology. It received the LEED Platinum Certification – the
highest internationally-recognized sustainability rating. This places the
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Pavilion among the most sustainable buildings
in the world. Among its features are 650 solar panels, all manufactured in
the Kingdom.

Moreover, the Pavilion was recognized by Guinness World Record for its ground-
breaking achievements such as the largest interactive lighting floor with around

UAE pavilion
Located at the heart of the nearly 500-acre exhibition area, the UAE
Pavilion features 8,000 square meters of exhibition space, where visitors
will be immersed in a multi-sensory experience. As a symbol of the
UAE’s pioneering and innovative spirit, the sheltering form of the UAE
Pavilion’s steel roof, influenced by the grace and force of the falcon, is
equipped with contemporary kinetic capacities and innovative
architectural elements. The UAE Pavilion will be seen by the millions of
visitors and participants who are expected to visit Expo 2020 Dubai from
October 2021 to March 2022.

can spread its wings to harvest energy through integrated photovoltaic panels.
The Singapore Pavilion
Themed Nature. Nurture. Future, the Singapore Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai offers
our perspective of what a City in Nature can look like, and how this vision can also
be realised anywhere through smart and sustainable urban solutions.

Beyond its breathtaking first impression, visitors will be taken on a journey that
presents a microcosm of Singapore's transformed landscape, paying tribute to our
sustainability journey and tracing how we have turned limitations into opportunities as
we continue growing into a sustainable, resilient and liveable city through the smart
integration of design, technology and nature. And not merely a city of the future, but a
city for our future

Designed to be light on environmental impact, the Pavilion is a prototype of

regenerative design that aims to repair and restore the ecosystem and biodiversity, and
to create an environment in which humans can live harmoniously with nature. The
architecture combines technological and natural systems, with nodes and layers
forming symbiotic relationships between engineering, technology, plant life and
organic processes.

The pavilion offers shelter and shade, but it is not enclosed. Instead of walls, native
trees and plants suited to withstand local weather line the perimeter of our site,
forming a green belt that buffers the harsh conditions outside. Together with the rest of
