APETECER - The verb “apetecer” means to be hungry or to have the need to
satisfy a desire.
 Grammatically speaking, “apetecer” works like the verb “gustar”: we
conjugate in the 3rd person singular or plural.

MOLESTAR - The verb molestar is used when we want to say that
someone/something/doing something bothers us.

 To keep the verb ‘molestar’ in alignment with the verb ‘gustar’ – we will use the 3 rd person singular and plural
conjugation of the verb in present tense, i.e. ‘’Molesta’’ and ‘’Molestan’’.
 1. Me molesta el ruido. ( The noise disturbs me/ I am disturbed by the noise). = El ruido is 3rd person singular noun ,
so the conjugation is also 3rd person singular of ‘molestar’ i.e. molesta.
 Me molestan las moscas (flies) = Las moscas (the flies) is noun in 3rd person plural form so the required 3rd person
conjugation of Molestar is molestan (3rd person plural).

PREOCUPAR – TO WORRY
 To keep the verb ‘preocupar’ in alignment with the verb ‘gustar’ – we will use the 3 rd person
singular and plural conjugation of the verb in present tense, i.e. ‘’preocupa’’ and ‘’preocupan’’.
 1. El examen te preocupa mucho. ( The exam worries you very much). = El examen is 3rd person
singular noun , so the conjugation is also 3rd person singular of ‘preocupar’ i.e. preocupa.
 =Los sueldos de los empleados te preocupan.(the salaries of the employees worries you. Los
sueldos(the salries is noun in 3rd person plural form so the required 3rd person conjugation of
preocupar is preocupan (3rd person plural).
