 Why is Our Climate Changing?
•Human Activities: The burning of fossil fuels
like coal, oil, and gas for electricity, heat, and
transportation releases large amounts of
carbon dioxide. Deforestation for agriculture
and urban development reduces the number
of trees that can absorb CO2. Industrial
processes and waste also contribute to
greenhouse gas emissions.
• Natural Factors: Volcanic eruptions release
particles and gases into the atmosphere,
sometimes cooling the Earth temporarily.
Variations in solar radiation can also affect
Earth's climate.
