DON’T BE A GRECIAN IN

THE CHURCH OF CHRIST

ACTS 6:1-7

A.J.A WOYIKE
• The Grecians in the church of
Christ are the Hellenists that
emerged in Jerusalem during
the early development of the
church as to stop and destroy
its existence.
• They are the fake worshippers
that did not come for
salvation but to murmur and
find fault in the church.
• They are not in the church to
contribute for the welfare but
to criticize and engage in
massive gossip.
• In the church, they are against
the rich and leaders. They are
the professional beggars that
exist in this dispensation.
• They know how to compare
churches. They are harlot
worshippers. Their work is
evaluable, malign members
and create confusion in the
midst of brethren's.
• They are the group that plant
hatred and discourage others
in the things of God. ACTS 9:29
• The Grecian do not believe in
the divine providence of God
and the dignity of giving and
labor. They are devoured of
Christian integrity – JOHN 15:7
• Every person in the church
that do not in any way
contribute to issues in the
church and in one way or the
other, impact positively in
another human life is a
Grecian
• They neither give to Man or
God. All their imagination is
what to benefit from God and
what get from Man. They are
complainants and always have
sensitive issues to present as
problems
EFFECTS OF BEING A GRECIAN.

• They loose their respect as beggars.

• They hardly experience spiritual and

material growth.
• They do not pray with concentration.
While others are praying, they are
mentally engaged on the method to
approach their victims.

• They loose their originality by always

moving about in sorrowing mood.
• Their potential is dominant. They believe in
Man and can’t explore little beginning.

• They are topical objects of discussion in the

church and individual homes.

• They are liars. They confront all their targets

even when they receive more than what they
ask from one or two persons.
DANGER OF GIVING
AIMLESSLY:- Ephesians 5:15

• You suffer correction from them. Even in

evil, they will support you.

• You become foolish as they will tell others

to meet you since you don’t have anything
to do with money
• When they fall, they will criticize you
and cannot support you in their own
capacity. Instead, they will tell people
that you misused opportunities and
fail to help others.
GIVERS – 2Cor 9:7

• Give when you are led

• Give as seed and not for trivial matters.

Support one another as to stand and not
for consumption.

• Give purposefully and not aimlessly
