SIMPLE FUTURE TENSE

(Will and Be Going To)

What is Simple Future Tense?

Simple Future Tense is used to Express

something that will be done in the future.

Time Signal : Later, Tomorrow, Next…. (Next

week, Next month, Next year, Next 2 days…)


Simple Future Tense Form
 Affirmative = S + Will + V1 + Object or S+ Will + be + ANA
(Adjective, Noun, Adverb)

Example:
 I will come to your party tomorrow
 She will become a Doctor next year
 They will visit their mom next month
 Dani will be at home next 2 days
 Janet will be here next Tuesday

 Negative = S + Will not + V1 + Object or S+ Will not + be + ANA
(Adjective, Noun, Adverb)

Example:
 I will not come to your party tomorrow
 She will not become a Doctor next year
 They will not visit their mom next month
 Dani will not be at home next 2 days
 Janet will not be here next Tuesday

Example:
 will You come to my party tomorrow?
 will she become a Doctor next year

Be Going to

Be going to is used to Express something that will be done

in the future:

 Plan decided before the conversation

 High certainty

 Prediction of evidence

Time Signal : Later, Tomorrow, Next…. (Next week, Next

month, Next year, Next 2 days…)


Be Going to Form
 Affirmative = S + Be Going to + V1 + Object or S + Be
Going to + be + ANA (Adjective, Noun, Adverb)

 I am going to go to Bali next month
 He is going to visit me tomorrow
 They are going to finish their exercise after lunch
 Mary is going to be happy to see you next week
 Jhon is going to be back home next 3 days
