Today’s Objectives:
At the end of the lesson the students must be
able to:
1. understand and apply the guidelines in
making an effective presentation;
2. use hyperlinks and embed files to improve
slideshow;
3. maximize slideshow as an effective visual aid
tool.
There are plenty of tools
you can use to present a data.
Whether it is a scientific data,
statistical, or a book report,
a presentation tool has you
covered.
 Designing your presentation is the
fun part of creating a report for it
gives you a chance to be creative.
Placing animations, transitions, and
art could be fun but sometimes these
could actually distract your audience
rather than help you.
Slideshow
- a presentation of a series of still
images (slides) on a projection
screen or electronic display
device, typically in a prearranged
sequence.
Here are some quick tips in creating
an Effective Presentation:
1. MINIMIZE – keeping slide counts
to a minimum
2. CLARITY – making sure the font is
readable
3. SIMPLICITY – using bullets or
short sentences; applying the
6/7 rule
4. VISUALS – using graphics that
attract, not distract the
audience
5. CONSISTENCY – making your
designs uniform, avoid having
different background.
6. CONTRAST – using light font
on dark background or vice
versa.

 Aside from Microsoft PowerPoint, there
are several Online Presentation Tools you
can use to present your work in a creative
manner:

app that allows you to

3. Prezi - use of one large
canvas that allows you to pan
and zoom to various parts of
the canvas and emphasize the
ideas presented there.
4. Canva – is a free-to-use
online graphic design tool. Use
it to create social media
posts, presentations posters,
videos, logos and more.

 Create your own slideshow presentation
using MS PowerPoint or any Online
Presentation Tool or App.

 You will be grouped into 5 and each group


will be given a topic to be discussed. (The
teacher will assign topics per group)
GUIDELINES:
1. Your slideshow presentation is just your guide. Follow
the tips in making an effective presentation.
2. Content:
- definition, types, etc.
- give 2-3 examples or sample images
3. Slides:
- Maximum of 20 slides; minimum of 15 slides
(including the title slide and the thank you
slide.)
4. Duration:
- Each group will be given 5-7 minutes to
