IMPACT OF ZOOS ON ANIMALS

Zoo is usually meant for the conservation of endangered species all over the
world, but at present scenario the zoos are just a method of earning economy.
Zoo is limited to attract the visitors to visit the animals. As we all know that
freedom is something that all require up to the cage in zoos. Animals show
the variety of activity in their natural habitat, but they are limited only up to
the cage in the zoo.
PROS:

● They help raise awareness about different animals which may give
people an incentive to Protect them..

● They help preserve different endangered or threatened species.

● They provide a safe haven for animals.

● Zoos help treat hurt or injured animals.

● Help educate children about the wonders of animals.

What happens to animals when kept in poor conditions?
The animals frequently live in small, dirty cages. They are fed inadequate food, and are
denied medical care. They have little in the way of mental stimulation — often, not even
the company of other animals, since many roadside zoos keep animals confined alone in
their cages.
When animals are kept in poor conditions they develop many diseases like:-
● Antrax
● Rabies
● Pox
● Blue tounge
● Johnes diesease
● Cat scratch diseasw
