 STATUS OF THE PROJECT

 Till date total length commissioned : 106.344 Km out of total 150 Km.

 Planning to commission during this FY-2023-24 : 21.496 Km

(Dantewara - Kamalur & Bacheli – Kirandul)

 Dantewara – Kamalur track linking 9 km done out of 12.353Km.

 Bacheli – Kirandul 8 Km track linking done out of 9.143Km.

 For the balance two block sections of length 21.974 Km, works are in progress and
planning to commission in Jan’2025.
Issues with State Government of Chhattisgarh.
• Maoist activities are largely affecting the progress of works. Incidences of frequent
calls for stoppage of works, burning of contractor’s machinery in few occasions,
threatening to staff working in the project and frequent disturbances by Maoists/Local
villagers are affecting the progress of work.

• Providing security in the balance locations of Dantewada- Kirandul section i.e.

partially between Kamalur-Bhansi stations and partially between Bhansi - Bacheli
stations, where security permission is not yet accorded.

• To allow at least 8 hours of working time at site every day for execution of works.

• Permission for construction of camps at two locations (already identified jointly with
Local Police officials) for staying of security forces.

 Chhattisgarh length 24Km commissioned.

 Balance two block sections (20.612Km), works are in progress. Jarati – Maligura consists
of 6 tunnels and tunneling is in progress.

 Planning to commission of the balance two block sections:

Manabar – Jarati (9.207Km) : May’2024
Jarati – Maligura (11.405Km) : Jan’2025
