Statement of the Problem


This study aimed to determine the approaches and teaching strategies of teachers in Camarin D
Elementary School, Caloocan North District I as basis for a Proposed Training Plan in selected
public elementary schools in the Division of Caloocan City for the School Year 2021-2022.

1. What is the commonly used strategies and approaches in teaching Grade


6 learners in terms of;
1.1 Constructive Approach;
1.2 Collaborative Approach;
1.3 Integrative Approach;
1.4 Inquiry-based approach; and
1.5 Reflective Approach?

2. What is the performance of intermediate learners based on their general
weighted average or GWA?

3. Is there significant relationship between the approaches used by teachers

Conclusion
1. Cooperative learning is the most commonly used constructive approach,
followed by collaborative methods that put more of an emphasis on the
development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and integrative
methods that are predominately reflective activities. However, the
respondents chose guided inquiry for the inquiry-based approach and the
reflective approach, which applies learning from and through experience to
gaining fresh perspectives on oneself and practice.

Conclusion
2. The performance of grade 6 learners based on their general weighted
average or GWA gained a majority of very satisfactory rating.

3. There is no significant relationship between the approaches used by


teachers and the performance of the grade 6 learners, since the computed p-
value of is less than the critical value. This means that the null hypothesis
stating that there is no significant difference between the approaches used by
teachers and the performance of the grade 6 learners is Accepted.

Conclusion
4. A Training plan was created based on the findings of the study.

5. Acceptability of the Respondents on the proposed training plan


reached the very highly acceptable especially on the indicator
stating that Training plan changes in teachers’ knowledge, skills,
behaviors, and /or values that may be attributable to the work
experience.

Recommendation
1. Developmental activities through LAC sessions should be
carried out in the classroom to help instructors finally acquire the
knowledge and abilities necessary to offer their pupils high-quality
services.

2. Keeping teachers' performance at a high level by supporting


their ongoing professional development by participation in
trainings and seminars, academic advancement, and undertaking
action research.

Recommendation
3. taking part in more thorough exercises that will broaden their
knowledge and abilities to use various teaching techniques, such as
demonstration teaching, specialized training, and others.

4. Monitoring carefully how different approaches are used to ascertain which


are suitable for each skill and which are improper for the learners they have.

Recommendation
5. the implementation of the training plan to make sure that the advocacy for
the welfare of not only the instructors and students but also of the entire
school is realized.

6. It is advised that more research be done to confirm the findings of this


study and to gather more evidence of the impact of teaching methods on
students' academic performance.
