Installation Procedure
1) Marking of all fire detection points on the slab formwork by referring the approved
shop drawings issued to the site.
2) Slab conduits wiring should be done in 1.3 mm thick 25 mm size Medium Duty PVC
conduits.
3) Conduit laying will be started once bottom net is in place and will be released for top
net once conduit laying is over.
4) Only Deep junction boxes shall be used in slabs. With Binding wire, properly bind the
PVC conduits.

Meggar test
After the cable laying is completed, the cables are
checked for continuity and insulation test
From Meggar Machine.
16
Training Experience
Testing Method
1) Remove all devices in the relevant cable loop which is going to
meggar test. (this test should be prior connecting the devices)
2) Connect all negative and positive cable ends together in device
connecting locations.
3) Apart ends of two wires, before testing positive and negative cables.
4) Perform the meggar test for 500VDC with minimum insulation
resistance of ≥ 0.5 MΏ.
5) Do the same procedure to check the wire insulation.
