about the quantity of thing(s). They
can answer the questions "How
much?" and "How many?"

Baik a little maupun a few, keduanya berarti “sedikit.” Meski demikian,
jumlah tersebut dianggap cukup.

Contoh:
I have a few dollars. (Saya memiliki sedikit uang dollar. Meski demikian, uang
tersebut cukup untuk membeli apa yang saya butuhkan)

Baik many maupun much, keduanya menunjukkan sesuatu
dalam jumlah besar dan umumnya diartikan sebagai “banyak”.

Secara arti, a lot of memiliki kesamaan dengan much atau many, yaitu
“banyak”. Sedangkan some menunjukkan jumlah yang tidak
disebutkan/tidak diketahui secara pasti. Dalam bahasa Indonesia biasa
diartikan sebagai “beberapa.”
