APPROACH 1:
EXPLAIN YOUR FINDINGS
APPROACH 1: EXPLAIN YOUR FINDINGS
a) Give reasons for the findings
e.g. Based on the statistical analysis, the results show that some of the first year student
teachers have performed well in the ICT test. The percentage, however, is not high and this
could be attributed to the fact that most of these students are coming from rural and
township schools. ICT is not fully integrated into many rural schools in South Africa.
Students without ICT skills or competency - ‘digital divide’ between rural and urban
students (Dzansi & Amedzo, 2014).
a) develop your own viewpoint and ideas based on the facts and results
e.g. The finding suggested that traffic information was the least attractive
peripheral service provided by the hand phone service provider among the
respondents. This could be justified as the university was situated far from
the busy metropolitan area. Apart from that, many of the students lived on the
campus and did not need traffic information to travel to their classes. As such,
traffic information may not be useful to them.
Accept the fact that our research is not perfect and proceed to the
analysis and discussion
