Building Positive Self-Esteem
● The ultimate goal is to know yourself.
● Positive self-esteem is critical as you move forward with your
career.
Points to ponder
Even when you’re not sure of your goal or the final
destination, the process of moving forward, doing
something that you sense might help, will serve to
ultimately clarify your path. You are, in fact, leaning into
your goal.

I Use Positive Self-Talk

Affirmation a statement or assertion
that something is already so (Gawain,
2000)
Points to ponder
”Acting as if” while you are developing a quality accelerates the
process of owning the quality you desire. Act as if you are
enthusiastic, even when you don’t feel it. The feedback you receive
while “acting” will support and reinforce your action, and before
you know it, you will own it! Fake it until you make it!

imagery or mental rehearsal.

in mind, you need to think positively to

called the self-fulfilling prophecy.
