Description of the programme
The Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a taught degree
targeting professionals from various sectors, bridging the gap
between their career aspirations and achievement. This
programme will give students the skills, confidence and insight
to take that vital step up the management ladder and develop
personal skills and vision. Throughout the programme we will
give you the skills needed to improve business performance,
achieve change, bring out the best in people, boost profitability
and deliver long-term success through innovative strategic
thinking.
Students will further benefit from extra-curricular activities
focused on personal development including integrity, confidence
and leadership as well as from an ethos and culture based on
hard work, openness and innovation. It is a friendly
environment, one where exceptional students come together to
learn, share ideas and build contacts

Learning outcomes of the programme

The MBA Programme is designed to equip our students with


the knowledge, skills, and perspectives that support rapid
career advancement. These learning outcomes are woven
throughout the curriculum. Upon the successful completion of
this programme, students will be able to:
• Apply innovative thinking and leadership to the management
of contemporary organizations, and critically reflect on one’s
own leadership practices;
• Become aware of the modern approaches to financial
management and analyze key financial statements;
• Demonstrate critical understanding of the role of strategy in
the success of an organization;
• Develop capacity to fully understand and appreciate modern
marketing management approaches;
• Carry out independent research to analyze organizational
processes and seek solutions to contemporary business
issues.

Important terms in during the course
• Credit: credit hours and module credit. Details will be in module outline
• Component/Element – Assessment: elements of component may be a part of an

• Semester/Term: 3 trimesters in a year. Each semester is 4 months.
• Blocks: blocks are arranged to the campuses in atolls under blended learning
