- Ela Bhatt was born on September 7, 1933 in
Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.

- Ela Bhatt is an Indian Lawyer and Social


worker who has fought for the rights of self
employed womens.

- She saw conditions of self employed women's

- She set up an organization called SELF


EMPLOYED WOMEN'S ASSOCIATION
(SEWA).
