MAIN HYDRAULIC SYSTEM

Main Hydraulic System is used for


 Flaps extension & retraction
 Landing gear extension & retraction
 Nose wheel steering
 Main landing gear wheels braking
 Engines shutdown & propeller feathering
 Cargo door opening & closing [with ramp sliding to
under & from under the fuselage
 Ventral emergency exit hatch opening & closing
 Windscreen wipers drive

AUXILIARY HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
Auxiliary Hydraulic System is used for
 Flaps emergency extension
 Main landing gear wheels emergency braking
 Cargo door opening & closing [with ramp sliding to
under & from under the fuselage
 Cargo door opening & closing on ground with ramp
lowering & lifting
 Ventral emergency exit hatch opening
 Filling & pumping through the suction pipeline of pumps

 Provided with hand-operated pump to build up pressure
in the cargo door control line & hydraulic reservoir
replenishment

The ‘L PUMP’ or ‘R PUMP’ suction pipeline by setting the

engine is being started to ‘L’ or ‘R’ [as required] for 20-

TROUBLESHOOTING

Emergency Extension of Landing Gear: Nose Gear


• Check hyd qty & press
• Place the L/G sel sw to OFF
• Open the HYD RETURN VALVE
• Move the L/G emerg ext lvr to Upper posn; located at CP
floor
• The nose gear down annun will come ON

Emergency Extension of Landing Gear: Main Gear


• Check hyd qty & press
• Open the pannel in cargo compt Fr no 17 & move the lvr
to DOWN posn
• The main L/G green annun will come ON
