• A communicable disease is one
that can be transmitted from one
person to another in several ways,
such as contact with blood or
body fluids, inhalation of an
airborne virus, or insect bites.
Communicable • This mainly include Malaria,
Diseases COVID-19, Dengue,
Chikungunya, Hepatitis B, etc.
Inference:
COVID-19, Common
cold and Viral fever
are of similar
incidence;
conjunctivitis and
Dengue follow.
• Common cold has
highest incidence
followed by Viral
fever and COVID-19.
• No dengue has been
reported; this may be
due to reduced
mosquito breeding
sites.
• COVID-19 and
Viral Fever are of
similar incidence
• A few cases of
dengue, foot and
mouth disease and
influenza has also
been reported.
• Common cold and
viral fever show the
highest incidence
• Conjunctivitis has also
been reported;
however, there are no
cases of dengue.
More than half of the
affected people have tested
positive for COVID-19
A few cases of pneumonia
have also been reported.
• Viral fever shows the
greatest incidence;
• Isolated cases of
chikungunya and
pneumonia reported;
• No cases tested
positive for dengue.

Immunization Schedule

 All infants were reported to be vaccinated


according to schedule.
 Immunizations are conducted in an organized
manner under PHCs.
 Families are individually informed of
immunization drives by health care workers,
especially ASHA workers.
 India is on a mission to eradicate polio. A disease
which once used to leave several children disabled
is now on the verge of eradication.
