This document provides information about spherical mirrors and their properties. It discusses that spherical mirrors can be either concave or convex. Concave mirrors reflect light inward to a single focal point, making them useful for focusing light. They are found in devices like headlights and spotlights. Convex mirrors reflect light outward in a diverging pattern and are not used for focusing. They can be seen in rear view mirrors of vehicles. The document also mentions an offline activity example involving using three rays to locate images formed by a lens with objects in different positions.

(Orientation, Type , and Magnification) of images formed by plane and curved mirrors and lenses Spherical Mirrors: The mirrors which contain curved reflecting surface are called spherical mirrors. They are two types: 1) Concave mirror or converging mirror –has a reflecting surface that is recessed inward (away from the incident light). It reflects light inward to one focal point. They are used to focus light. Examples: automobile headlights, reflecting telescopes, torch lights, etc. 2)Convex mirror or diverging mirror is a curved mirror in which the reflective surface bulges toward the light source. Convex mirrors reflect light outwards ; therefore, they are not used to focus light.
Examples: rear side mirrors of vehicles, optical instruments ,calling bell, etc.
